After the development of an effective identity system, the design of a professional and comprehensive website goes the furthest in establishing the branding of your company or organization. What is the first thing many people do now when they want to find out about a company they may have heard about for the first time? They search for their website. Why? Because if they have a website, it will hopefully tell them everything they need to know to make the decision if it is worth making the call. And they base it not only on the information found on the site, but how it is presented. A well-designed website will produce results.

Bin No. 20 is a new wine bar and restaurant in Pasco, the heart of Washington state wine country. Red Lion Hotel Pasco was seeking to create a vibrant, hip restaurant that catered to not just the wine connoisser, but people that enjoy wine and fine cuisine and just want to have fun. They needed a look that was very un-snobbish to reflect that for their website as well as to highlight their frequent events and wineclub activities in addition to their extensive selection of the finest northwest wines and fabulous menu.
The husband and wife team of Blake and Monica Miller approached WDW to design their new website and freshen their identity for their mobile DJ company, Memorable Events. Having already established an excellent reputation in the Coeur d'Alene area, they were looking for a clean and simple, yet elegant look—they needed their web presence to stand out head and shoulders above the competition. Since the launch, they have been constantly receiving glowing praise and bookings by the new clients that have been contacting them, helping to elevate their reputation to one of the premiere providers of mobile DJ service in the region.
CRI was looking for a fresh look when they chose WDW to redesign their website. Working in conjunction with The Integration Works, we took their existing content and wrapped it in a new, clean, easy-to-read and navigate exterior, while The Integration Works completely overhauled their estore backend.
Whitestone Design Werks was approached by Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho to implement a redesign of the KMC website utilizing existing content and incorporating their refreshed identity that WDW had provided. We were restricted to using a content management system that they were contracturally obligated to continue using, so, much of the layout and navigation was dictated by those contstraints. The end result was a fresh, clean navigation format that quickly directs the user where they want to go.
This was a fun project. The winery of Tobin James, located in the central California town of Paso Robles, was looking to completely overhaul their antiquated old site and raise their quality perception up several notches. The owners wanted to avoid the "classy" label and instead desired to evoke a less serious, "cowboy" image. Once the raves started coming in, they knew we had been succesful. Part of the satisfaction was enjoying the fruit of their labor as well!
Red Lion and WestCoast Hotels produce a quarterly newsletter for members of their frequent guest program, GuestAwards. They also needed an online version of the newsletter produced that picked up the look & feel of the printed version but allowed for the inclusion of additional content. The site highlights the various packages offered at each of their hotels in addition to informing the GuestAwards members of upcoming specials and point redemption options.
This website, developed for CCA, is designed for a local audience that is looking for a quality private school in the area as well as being a resource for people looking to relocate to the North Idaho area to learn about the quality of education being offered in the area.
This website is for a full-service IS Management firm located in Tustin, California that services the IT needs of medium to large businesses in Orange County. The Integration Works (TIWI), needed a simple, promotional site that highlighted their capabilities and services and provided customer testimonials. This site is actually one of the first websites developed by WDW and is still serving their needs well.
When we were approached by Joe Troxell of The TroxellGroup to create a new site showcasing the distinctive style and quality of The TroxellGroup, we first had to get over the house-envy of the homes he has designed and built before we could tackle the challenge of capturing the arts and crafts design sensibilities and attention to detail that Joe infuses into all of his clients projects. From beautiful lakeside homes, beautiful restorations of historical landmarks, to commercial and institutional projects. The site is still under construction, but this will give you a good idea of the design direction.
Living Word Presbyterian Church is a fellowship in Athol, Idaho. Their website needs were modest and they needed to be able to update the site easily on their own. Since we work with Dreamweaver primarily, it was very easy to incorporate content management with Macromedia's excellent content editor, Contribute. The result, is an easy to navigate, easy to update site that announces to the world that there is a church with a website even in Athol, Idaho.
This website was produced for Pamplin Music showcasing the label's mainstream Christian music artists. The site also included "mini-sites" showcasing each of the artists featured on the label with streaming samples of their music, bios and lyrics as well as tour schedules and lists of radio stations that were giving them airplay. Pamplin has since shut down their music division and so this site is now offline. But we have some screen captures to give you a good idea scope of the work.

by the fine design firm of Uttley/DouPonce DesignWorks (now UDG DesignWorks).
Medinex Office was the main ASP product of Medinex Systems. This was a comprehensive
online physician's office management application that provided HIPAA compliancy.
The application was created using JSP and the user interface was heavily
CSS based. Fortunately, this made the transition easy to go from a "programmer-designed"
interface to a "designer-designed" interface. This is a private, password
accessed site so you'll have to view the screen shots through the links below.
